Hello!
I’m Silvia and I’m an Italian illustrator.
Ever since I was little, drawing was always my biggest passion, but as I grew up I thought my calling career-wise was in the sciences, so I enrolled at university to study Biotechnologies. However, early into my studies my ever-growing love for art and creating began to make me question my choices.
Eventually I graduated and obtained my bachelor’s degree but then I immediately put it aside, finally determined to follow my heart: I enrolled into Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Padua to study traditional illustration, from which I graduated in 2023 with top grades.
A big source of inspiration for my illustrations are seemingly mundane, every day life moments, instants of introspection and emotion, that I can capture and express through the light, color and textures of the atmospheres I create. One of my main areas of interest is mental health, a subject that I feel very strongly about and that I love to explore in my works.
Moreover, many years of experience as a babysitter of children of all ages gave me insight into children’s way of seeing the world around them and made me passionate about children’s illustration as well.
I work mainly with traditional media, such as acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolors, colored pencils, etc. among which my absolute favorite one is acrylic paint. I am proficient with digital media as well, using mainly Procreate and Clip Studio Paint.
